Burtucky Days are back on Sept. 21

BURTON – Burtucky Days are back, bigger and better than ever. This year will mark the sixth annual Burtucky Days festival, a celebration of “redneck culture” in Burton and the surrounding areas. The festival will take place Thurs., Sept. 21 through Sun., Sept. 24 at the Captain’s Quarters Lounge, located at 6011 E. Atherton Rd.

This year’s Burtucky Days will kick off Thurs. evening with a redneck parade at 5 p.m., which will start on Lapeer Road and head toward Belsay. The festival is set to include live music Thurs. through Sun., with a number of “redneck events” scheduled for Friday and Saturday. The Road Kill Cafe is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sat., and the official crowning of the 2017 Burtucky King and Queen will also take place on Saturday at Captain’s Quarters.
